Hi.
Is anyone running Linux on a Ps3 for Home Theatre purposes?
Are there any limitations on display options/resolutions, Software etc for Linux on the Ps3?

I'm in 2 minds about what to do for a linux based home theatre solution:
Build a decent HTPC and have it in the living room
Build a good spec'd server and a PS3 and install linux on it and access the content via WiFi home network

Has anyone any knowledge or opinions on these ideas?
Anything helpful will be considered.

I am running Ubuntu on my PS3 and as of right now I would not recommend it as an HTPC. When you play HD video, it gets choppy in full screen mode. (it does fine with SD video) I believe that in the future, it may be a good option (perhaps when Linux has access to the 3D accelerated graphics card ... and it will ... hacked or otherwise at some point)

I do have Linux running at full 1080p though

Thanks!
Exactly what I needed to know.
I'll keep checking to see whether anything changes.
