I was flipping through the newest 2007 Consumer Reports magazine and they had a special article on HDTV's including plasma, lcd, and Dlp. They had the top 22 Rear Projection Tv's and Samsung did not have ONE SINGLE MODEL?
Can anyone explain this. I just bought the 5687W after 2 months of research on this site and I don't understand how the Sammy's could be left out?
I'm guessing that the mag requests displays to test directly from the manufacturers, and samusng must not have sent them any in time for their review.
This was discussed recently in this thread (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=9630823&&#post9630823).

Consumer Reports doesn't get the products they review from the manufacturers. They purchase products in the marketplace.
I think they claimed that the Samsungs are about to be replaced. They did include them in the online ratings from a previous test. Attached is a partial capture of the online ratings. The column headers and ratings are separate to save space.
