MotorCityJoe 02-20-07, 11:53 PM The major difference is, out of the 3 you listed, only the xbr960 has the super fine pitch tube. B_BODY_1 02-21-07, 12:32 AM doesn't the super fine pitch screens have problems? so the 970 and the 800 are the same besides the built in hd tuner right? raouliii 02-21-07, 10:29 AM doesn't the super fine pitch screens have problems? so the 970 and the 800 are the same besides the built in hd tuner right? The 800 has adjustable DRC and the 970 does not. The 970 has a built-in NTSC, ATSC and QAM tuner, while the 800 only has a NTSC tuner. The 800 has twinview (PIP) but the 970 does not. The 800 has DVI and a memorystick viewer and the 970 has HDMI and no viewer. Most importantly, IMHO, the 800 suffers from a design flaw that creates vertical scrolling bars with 1080i inputs.
