Hi guys,

As you can tell, I am new to the forums and have not posted before. I have been lurking around doing lots of reading and now find myself needing some advice on setting up my new tv. I have a Sony KF-42E200A (Canadian version of E2000), Pioneer DVR-640H-S, Yamaha HTR 5850 and Viewsat satellite reciever. I have also purchased the DVE dvd.

My question is in regards to the proper way to use DVE to adjust my tv. I am presently running everything thru the Yamaha AVR via component. I guess my percieved dilemma is, how do I make adjustments to the tv (video4) properly when there are video adjustments on the PVR, stb and tv? I think I am OK for the PVR-->AVR-->TV, but then, if the stb picture needs adjusting, I would need to make those adjustments 'by eye' on the stb?

Should I be running things thru the AVR or should I be going directly from each component to the TV for the video and audios only thru the AVR? or each unit to TV for both audio and video then run audio out of tv to AVR?

Am I over thinking this?
