I have had the Toshiba 62hm196 for a few weeks now. I LOVE this tv!! Anyway, I tried to adjust the color with Video Essentials and no matter what I set the color at, I couldn't get the boxes to match in the test pattern. I thought it was the older 4:3 VE that was the problem, so I bought the digital VE. I have the same problem, no matter how high or low I turn the color up, I can't get the boxes to match with the blue filter. It gets closer the higher I turn it up, but even at 100(which I know can't be right), it still doesn't match. I have a sony 1080i upconvert dvd player connected via hdmi.

Anyone had this problem or know why I can't adjust the color properly with DVE??

Get them as close as you can. You may not be able to get them to match perfectly. Then have a look at some filmed source material to see if you are under or over saturated on any of the inputs. I have the same set and DVD player as you. I think my color is at 55-60 or so, Tint at +15.

I have tint at +15 also, after adjusting. I set the set at 60, but I just thought that it was weird that I couldn't get the boxes to match adjusting color. I couldn't find any auto color mode or anything like that. Anyone else have this problem on this or another set??
