Something to consider is that the Samsung HLS 1080p DLPs are the only displays that accept 1080p over HDMI, component, and VGA (ideal for the 360). The Sony and Mits only do so over HDMI.

That depends on the performance increase you expect for the money. For me, that will be a couple more years before its worth it. My Hitachi 57S715 does pretty good for now.
