I purchased a Phillips 5960 around x-mas time. My main reason for the purchase of this player was the USB port. Since a lot of the TV programs that I watch come on at/after my bed time I usually download them the next day as a divix/xvid AVI file. When I first tried to use the USB port I noticed that the video was slightly choppy/jerky. At first I thought it might have been my flash drive. When I tried a second flash drive I was getting the same effects. After reading more about the Phillips 5960 I found out that the USB port is v1.0. My first though was why the heck is it 1.0?
So now I'm thinking that it is the USB limitations that is causing the choppy video. The next thing I tried was to burn my shows to a disk (something I don't really want to do in the first place). When I play back from a DVD I get the same choppy video. The audio sounds fine but the choppy video kills me.
Is this normal? Do other owners experience this? I bought this particular make/model because I was told that it handles divix/xvid well. Are there some settings I can tweak?
Thanks,
Lydokane
