Hi All,

I have a shared family room/Theater in my home. The room is roughly 18'x32'. The theater area occupies the front area *around (18'x22') leaving an area behind the chairs of about 18' x 10'. In this rear area, I currently have my popper and would like to expand to have a concession-type area. My initial thoughts were to put a row of cabinets along the back wall (about 8' long). I would put the popper on the counter and have an undercounter fridge installed. I have a couple things I am hoping you fine people can help with:

1. Anyone do anything similar and have pictures or have an alternate idea they want to share
2. Anyone have experience wiht the noise level from an undercounter (high quality, $500 or so) fridge at 8-9' behind the viewer? Will the noise when the compressor is on be too loud?

BIGmouthinDC has one of the nicest implementations of a full concession area in the back of the theater that I have seen. There are actually a couple of threads on his theater going on in the construction forum.

Wow, that theater is simply amazing. I wish I had a dedicated space to do something like that. True work of art. I have a few questions that i hope you can answer for me.

First off, what is the size of the space you are working with? It looks huge!
Second, it looks like the Fridge is behind the seating around 20 feet? Any noise issues during movies?

Thanks for the feedback.
The room was going to be your typical multi room with a 70 inch RP built into a wall, but the theater fever took over. If I had to do it over (next house) I would do a dedicated room and leave the bar and concession area in a separate space. The space is roughly 40ish by 22ish.

The fridge is roughly 23 ft from seating and I've never noticed it during a movie.

I do have a problem with the furnace room but I have some ideas that I'll implement once I get everything else done.
