I remember a Paramount insider indicating that we will see very few catalog titles this year, but The Warriors will be one of them.

Aren't they also releasing a new Special Edition of Face/Off on all 3 formats later this year?

Would be nice if its the theatrical cut. The Director's Cut ruined ONE moment in the movie, and it was such a classic moment too: The slow reveal of the Baseball Furies!

Why is Paramount so lax in regards to HD content? If your not going to release movies, then just fold your tent and get out of the HD optical disc business.

I don't think Paramount sees an urgency with the teeny tiny adoption rate of HD media and the infancy of the formats. BD still hasn't come out with support for interactive features and lossless codecs yet and both formats have their fair share of bugs.

If you'll remember, Paramount was VERY lax when DVD made its debut. This comes as no surprise, really.

Dont forgett, that the companys making most (well All basicly) money on standard DVDs. They dont have to hurry with HD releases. The market isnt that big.
