Starting about 3 weeks ago one and sometimes two black lines appear on my screen and stay for hours at a time. Then one or both will go away for awhile but they always come back. :mad: They are both about 2 inches wide and run from the top to the bottom of the screen. My display is about 2 years old and out of warranty so I'm hoping someone can give me some good advice!

I've got a DirectTV DVR, running through a Pioneer 1014TX receiver.

Any ideas?

Sorry to here about your problem. I had a similar problem with my 55hdt51. It started with a vertical red line on the upper right quadrant of the screen. When it started it would come and go but after awhile it was constant. I luckily bought an extended warranty and after a month of haggling I got it replaced with a Pioneer 6070. I needed the vga input but Hitachi has dropped it off of all their sets. When I had first developed the problem I called Hitachi but would have nothing to do with it. They basically said too bad, out of warranty, so sorry. So when I turned it in to my extended warranty they actually got Hitachi to replace it. It was only about 1 1/2 years old so mavbe you can get Hitachi to replace it. Search this forum for others with the same experience and document it to support your effort. Good luck! ;)
