I have decided to get a Samsung DLP, either the 5086 or the 4676
The room I'm putting it will have me 8 ft away from the screen. Will that be too close for the 5086 ? Are these any black grass issues with the 4676 ?

I used the search feature but didnt find any satisfactory answers

It will not be too close. Don't know about the black grass issues.

i think black grass is only an issue on the hl-s4266.

I just got a 5086 (good value, BTW, IMO) and I sit around that far back. Looks fine.
