Looking through the new web site for GRAW 2 for PC.. pretty exciting stuff.
http://ghostrecon.us.ubi.com/graw2/
I'm really looking forward to this game. Are you?
June 29th..
 Yep, will be getting this. I understand you will be able to save at any time which was probably my biggest issue with the GRAW 1 (i.e. checkpoint saves).

I thought it was better to have checkpoints. Makes you do it perfectly. But I do admit, I got really frustrated at times with the AI. I sure hope the AI is improved like they say.
Actually release date is March 30th for PC.

Finished GRAW a while ago. Didnt like the damn ending. Finished R6:Vegas and didnt like that ending either but seems to have a sequel coming.
What is the real date for GRAW2 on PC? Is it March30?

hmm from the GA of the game for XBox till June..I guess thats enough time to port a XBox game to the PC.

The xbox version will play like GRAW 1 ( wussed out console style ) and the PC version is supposed to go back to what it used to be (a TACTICAL shooter).
About time. I'm sick of companies selling out the style of old pc games to make em' console friendly.

well if i get to pre-plan missions and control several different teams the wait will be worth it.

Noizboy, I'm like you but I think we're in the minority unfortunately. Console games built for those that just want to think less.

Now don't get me wrong. I don't have a problem with consoles, I do own a couple.
Everyone loves a good shoot em' up. I understand the game developers have to make money too. But minority or not, I think they need to remember who supported them from the start. "PC's" I really hope it's true, that the developers of GRAW II will make it more like the good ol' days for us fans.

New screenshots up on gamespot for GRAW2 for PC. Its not like the 360's version (thank god). But it is more of the same as GRAW.

I have the GRAW2 PC beta from Fileplanet.com (subscription), it is a multiplayer only beta.
Yada yada yada NDA, my reactions are as follows:
* The game is absolutely nothing like the 360 version of GRAW.'
* Is first person shooter only
* Unlike GRAW1 for PC, the game does not suck.
* I think it's going to be worth full retail price based on a 1 map, 2 mode, multiplayer beta.
The single player is also supposed to have a crap load of tactical enhancements that didn't exist in the in GRAW1 singleplayer.
I may explain further later, but time for class

Don't you guys have this yet? I picked it up a couple of days ago in-store. I guess maybe HK releases are different to US ones though.
It chugs at 1280x720 on a single 7900GT on Med settings...meaning it could be time for a 8800GTX or 2900XT...and having trouble running it on my SLI HTPC rig (also having trouble with Steam too, so maybe Windows is a bit ****ed)

I almost picked it up today but hesitated simply because I finally was catching up with my backlog of games and recently was trying out GRAW again on the PC. Damnably frustrating. Has some good things going for it, but dying every two minutes due to BS gets old after a while.
I did like the demo to this game and I felt there were some much needed refinements. Beyond this, I'm a little concerned about the mention of how short the single player campaign is.
So...I look forward to hearing from anyone that actually gets this. :)

Yeah I got it. Since I am the thread starter I've been waiting for it.
It is very hard. I'm barely on the fourth mission because I keep getting hit by snipers out of nowhere. They put much more emphasis on the recon part of the game for sure. But for some damn reason it has a lot of bugs that causes it to crash and the AI is as dumb as GRAW 1.
For example, I pointed one of my gunman to move to a point. He's stuck somewhere behind a wall and he said "I'm here.". So ok I tell him to follow. He said "lead the way boss" and he's no where behind me. In GRAW the gunmens can get stuck behind walls even with the latest patch. GRAW2 continues the annoyance. Since GRAW2 is much harder and makes you depend more on your comrades, you easily get killed and often. Theres been often times when I got killed so many times I just turn off the PC. The enemy's reaction time is 1/2 second. They can locate and lock on to you hiding behind a building or corner in that amount of time. In the scope you can actually see them whip around rapidly and shoot at you.
GRAW2 on the PC really makes RB6:Vegas on the PS3 feel like a Nintendo game.

Online GRAW2 is awesome -I've been playing quite a bit on my friend's 360 and it is way better than Vegas or Resistance.
On PC though, I share SpeedyHTPC's comments -the AI is seriously dumb and there are numerous glitches -which strangely don't seem as common on the 360. I've pretty much given up on playing it on my rig as it chugs like a b*tch in Vista with 7900GT SLI -still haven't tried the new MS SLI Vista hotfix yet but I should...

How similar is the 360 vs PC's? I read that its not the same but maybe the environment is shared and the PC is first person while the 360 is 3rd person view.
It runs ok on my BFG 8800GTS 640 model with Vista Home Basic at 1920x1200. I swear the game is not optimized.

I regret to say that the PS3's demo of GRAW2 is more fun than the PC's. Theres a lot more sensing going on and is busier to keep the game interesting. I suppose I answered my own question that the 360's is like the PS3's.
