I am looking for a projector for the youth room of my church.

It needs to be bright enough to project about a 70" inch image with readability in a fairly lit room. Overall image quality isn't particularly important though most of the students now have HD at home so they know the difference. For this reason I would prefer a widescreen projector that is 720p since there will be some movie/superbowl video game use.

The budget is $1000 or less. I would be fine with going for a used projector.
