I know the website says I can do it after the purchase of my TV (50a2000).
Im thinking about doing the 2year one for $59.99
Its not a bad price for some piece of mind.

I have no problems what soever with the TV its amazing.

I have done this many times. Just call give them your model number and pay for the amount of years you want.

I also recently did this for my 50A2000 and it worked well. They are sending me the info now.
