Bulitt, The Getaway and now Dog Day Afternoon - this is why I'm loving Warner and Universal - both studios have a willingness to open up the vaults. I wish the BD exclusive studios would follow this trend. Heck, I think I might keel over if Fox ever released Von Ryan's Express on BD.

The back of the Dog Day Afternoon case says sound is 1.0, but it also says it is Stereo and Mono. Wonder how they're doing that?

If it's anything like The Getaway it may actually be DD+ 5.1. Same thing with the special features.

I take that back. I was so enthralled w/the PQ that I wan't paying attention to the audio, just what the audio display shows on my receiver.

All the work is being done by the left and right speakers. It really is a 1.0 mix. Although I have to say, it's pretty damn good.
