Im planning on purchasing the Panasonic PT-AX100U from Costco. Problem is, I dont know if the screen size I want will work. I will have the projector directly above my sofa, 10.5 feet from the projection screen, which will be at least 100 inches. As large as I can get. I will be 10.75 feet away from the screen. Will this setup work?

Also, does zoom affect picture quality? If so, how? Im assuming ill have to turn it on to the max to get my desired picture size. How do I go about turning on the zoom and setting the picture location and size when I recieve the projector?

Thanks

my ax100 is about a 15 foot throw, seating distance is about 13 feet and i use a 110" Carada BW screen.

google is your friend:

the first result is fine:

based on this you can go to a max. of about 100" screen size. you should try to stay more towards the middle of the throw range, so realistically about 85" is where you want to be. i wouldn't worry so much about seating distance with this projector. i can get right up close to the screen and no SDE at all.

Im quoted a max of 103" with a 10.5ft throw distance with 2x zoom. What is the diff. between 2x zoom and 1x zoom?

i believe that the more zoom you use = lower picture quality. from what i understand the best balance is to stay in the middle of the throw range.

in your case its'
min. 53"
middle 78"
max. 103"
