View Full Version : HD1000 interference issue?

I recently purchased an HD 1000 and have it ceiling mounted projecting onto a 92" screen. When I project anything from the composite video in source, I get bright white lines (about 18" tall) horizontally across the screen. The component sources look good. The cables are about 20' long and are high quality (not monster cables, but decent). I talked to Mits about it and they said it's probably a DOA. When I called the place I purchased it from to get a return, they are telling me it's interference. I tried running a 4ft cable directly to my source and it did help, but it doesn't seem right to have to mount my tuner on the ceiling as well;)
I don't want to go through the trouble of returning this if the next one is going to do the same thing, so if anyone has any input on this, it would be appreciated.

I have to ask, why are you using composite video? That's the worst video connection.

I am using the composite video from my VCR (TV tuner) and Playstation2. Is there a better way to do this?
