the other night, i missed part of LOST, so I downloaded it to watch it. There was 2 versions, 1 was almost 700MB, and the other ~350MB.

Anyways, I normally watch the 350MB version on my computer. But decided to give the 700MB a try. I assume it's an Xvid file.

Anyways, I burned the 700MB version onto a CDR, to put into the Oppo. Well, I got audio, but no video?

I checked the file on hte computer, i get video, but no audio. I think i'm missing the AC3 codec. But anyways.

How come it wont play on the Oppo? The 350MB version plays fine on the Oppo.

Divx has normal and HD variants. The Oppo will not play the HD types; I believe the maximum vertical resolution is 480 or 576 pixels.
