Hey guys, I need some help. I'm just getting into this video and audio stuff. I did a search, but couldn't find any post about this.
Here's my setup...
Optical cable from Time Warner HD box to Onkyo receiver.
I just recently bought a Monster HTS 1600. I plugged everything in the assigned socket. While watching cable, the audio stops for one second or two on an SD or HD channel. Sometimes the audio would be perfect, sometimes it stops for a second or two. Its random on random channels. So I thought, maybe I should try insert Time Warner's coax cable into the monster unit and use another coax cable from the monster into the cable box. But the audio issue was still there. The video is clear and smooth. I thought, maybe it was the cable box, but this audio issue started to happen after I installed the Monster unit. Can it be the monster is cleaning the signal too much? Do you think I have a defective unit, or maybe some compatibility issue? Please advise...
Thanks,
B
