I have an HD1000 and an Xbox, Xbox360, dvd player, and HDDVR hooked up to it via component, but that means I have a cable manifold on my floor where I have to plug and unplug the cables.

Is there a good hi-def quality component switcher out there? The ones on monoprice, etc... have reviews that say they are good for 480i, but nothing higher.

thanks

I also have an HD1000U, and found myself with the same predicament.

In the long run, I'm sure I'll end up purchasing a receiver that will handle my audio/video switching, but for a "right now" fix, I picked up a Pelican Switcher (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7196964&st=pelican&type=product&id=1113534250337) brand switcher at Best Buy.

It's a little cheap-o switcher, and I wouldn't call it "quality", but it definitely gets the job done.

It switches:
Component Video
Composite Video
S-Video
Audio
Ethernet

And it also has labeled inputs (but no 360, Wii, PS3, Cable Box labels)

I used a Phillips brand from Walmart and could not see any difference in the image with the switch in the system. Worked very well. Think it was about $20.00. It switched component in addition to svid, composit and R/L audio. It switched my HD sat box, DVD and Cband sat.

I too use a 3 in 1 out AV switch that's hooked up in reverse.
