I searched but cound'nt find an answer to this problem i'm having. I ceiling mounted my hd70 and am projecting on a 106" diag screen. I use my xbox 360 alot and it's outputing at 1080i. Now when I play a game or the guide is up (in 1080i) it fills the screen perfect. But if I play a dvd (which switches to 480p) the output size on my screen is much smaller. I would say I have about a foot and a half border smaller than my screen. So I guess my question is, does the HD70 project all resolutions the same size and I have a setting screwed up or is this normal. I'm using a component cable in the back of the HD70. I hope this makes sense.....I'm kinda a noob to these things. I also bought a upconversion dvd player (kinda cheap) and the same thing happens. Anything output in 720p or 1080i will fill screen perfect, but anything 480p will shrink screen size and leave me with a 1.5' border of unused screen all the way around the picture.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Is the border on all 4 sides of the image or just top and bottom? Not all aspect ratios fill a 16x9 image, no matter what resolution is being sent to the projector. Make sure you are using a dvd that is in the 1.78:1 aspect ratio.

In the picture setting of the HD70 set it to 16:9, not Native, it should fill the screen due to 480p material, mine does it too.
