i need to find a cheap mount for my HD1000U that will be here monday just checked tracking and it is in richmond va that is were i live i was going to shelf mount it but i am not sure it will work or not.i know i can order online i was just hoping somebody knew of a store i tried radioshack they had nothing.

I agree with the directmount recommendation. I bought the PMS mount from them and the installer mounted my Mitsi HD1000 projector with it this past Tuesday with no problems.

The free extension included was a great selling point not to mention the ridiculously low price!! I knew I needed an extension and it was an option for most mounts that added even more money to their cost.

Is the PMS a universal mount? I notice that if you use the selection tool by PJ it doesn't seem to matter what you enter, the same mount shows up. Are there different models or does the one PMS basically fit every PJ out there?

I am planning to order the mount ASAP so it beats my new PJ here. I guess it would be cool if one mount fits all; then even if I change my mind on PJs the mount will still work.

Monoprice has a great mount for $17

Just a caution about the Monoprice mount. The height dimension listed is wrong, I found the mount to be about 1.25" taller than the instructions or website listed. This is regardless of what extension tube is used. I mounted the curved legs on top of the mounting and reduced the height by 1".
With the hd1000's significant vertical offset this addt'l height may pose a problem for those with low ceilings. That being said, the mount is well made and is great deal, even with the lousy instructions.

You can choose color black or white finished. It fit well with hd1000u and it is easy to install, $49.00 shipped.
