i need 100 feet of speaker wire by monday for my 5.1 setup my front projector will here monday.i saw 100 feet at radio shack is was 16 gauge $20.00 is that good enough?THANK YOU

I will not go smaller than 14 gauge for 100 ft single run. Go to Home Depot or Lowes just like the Ratman says. 14 gauge 100 ft spool cost around $35.

Lowes in my area has some Philips brand 14 ga 100 ft for $25. Check for the prepackaged stuff first because usually the "pay per foot" wire is more expensive.

Yeah, I got this one and its great - cheaper than HD too and pretty close to Monoprice (if they ever have any in stock)

Yeah, I usually drop by Home Depot and pick up a package of GE brand. They have several gauges and usually it's no more than $25 for 100 feet of anything.

I just picked up 4 extension cords for speaker wire form Home Depot Friday night. Is is 16 awg and 100' for $4.xx each. I figuired that it would be good for my less demanding surround sound speakers.
