Hello All,

I'm having problems with my Sony RDR-GX315. I'm connecting it to another Sony Television, using the Video1 Input and RCA jacks. I am getting audio but no video. I've tried each input and have also tried an S-Video cable for the video hook up, as opposed to the standard RCA jacks. Either way, I'm getting no result.

I had been using this same recorder on my theater set up and am afraid I have some setting selected on the recorder that I can't fix due to no video. I can't access the menu.

Is there a way I can reset the DVD Recorder so that it returns to its factory settings? Or is there something I'm missing.

I'm a bit embarrassed as I'm quite experienced with A/V setups.

Thanks for your help.

Could be a progressive/interlace problem, i.e., your DVDR is set for progressive and can't pipe that signal thru the composite cables. Can you hook up Component cables to the new TV, or go back to the other TV and set DVDR for interlace so you can use the composite cables???

I've tried Component video cables, and I do get some video, but the screen appears to be on permanent V-hold, I can't adjust it.

Any other suggestions?

If you can see DVDR menus, change video output to interlace and hook RCA cables back up?

I will try that. Thank you for your help.
