We have about 1.5 years old Panasonic PT-AE700E beamer that was bought from Germany. The lamp has been changed once because the first broke just after 1500 hours and now even the second lamp getting closer to that stage (over 1300 hours atm).
The beamer is used mostly with pc using dvi-hdmi cable and also with Playstation 2 via S-video cable.
The problem is that for some time now blue colour has been corrupted. You can see the worst colour problems mostly on the right side of the picture where's a blue spot visible all the time. It changes shape and place and might get smaller after using the beamer for some time. All screens showing lots of blue colour and dark colours look really crappy (like there'd be only one shade of blue) but sometimes it doesn't bother that much if the picture is very bright and colourful and resolution is high. Playstation2 picture looks even more crappy probably because of the resolution.
The most ununderstandable issue is with desk/ceiling option. If I change from desk to ceiling mode all colours get completely twisted for some reason.
You should get some idea of the pictures I attached here. desk.ceiling.jpg shows the strange behavior when changed to ceiling mode. blue-red-flicker -picture presents how the blue spot is visible in the flicker settings (in service menu) and the spot stays even when I turn the shutter on (shutteron.jpg).
I've read all kinds of stuff about Blue polarizer filter failure, corrupted lcd and dust or lamp problems. What do you guys think about this and what should I do? All advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If it's under warranty send it to a service centre immediately. That blue patch is most likely the blue LCD panel gone bad. (Just do a forum search on "blue LCD" or "blue polarizer"). It's a pretty common fault with LCD projectors, and the AE700. It's caused by the cumulative effects of excessive heat on the LCD panels. Mine developed the same issue at about 2050 hours of usage. That colour inversion is a different issue, and I'm not sure what might be causing it.

Are you sure it's not just a dust bunny? That's what it looks like to me.
Are you sure it's not just a dust bunny? That's what it looks like to me.I was thinking the same at first but it doesn't explain the fact that blue has almost no tones or can dust work that way also? If I look colour tone charts with my beamer black and blue charts are not right. If I don't remember wrong black is very blue meaning that only dark black is really black but there's no grey tones, they look blue. I can try to put photo about it here later.
And there must be something wrong because of colour inversion in ceiling mode.

Mine developed the same issue at about 2050 hours of usage.Ok, that sounds likely. My home country (Finland) has only 1 year warranty for beamers but Germany (where I bought it) has 2 years warranty so probably I need to send it all the way back there.
Is it expensive repair if they for some reason say that warranty doesn't cover failure like that or can they even argue about it?
That colour inversion is a different issue, and I'm not sure what might be causing it.Ok, that's really strange problem then.. I couldn't find any information about it. Luckily I don't need to use ceiling mode but I do know it shouldn't look like that.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this colour inversion in ceiling mode?
I just replaced my blue polarizer (pt-ae700u) with this kit they sent me from panzip. I had hoped I would be able to just remove the old one and instal the new one. No such luck, well I did it anyway and now my blue is completely out of alignment. Does anyone know how to adjust this thing??? Also the replacement kit was over $300.00 so think hard before doing this. If I get it working properly I will let everyone know how. Also I looked in here for awhile to find some instructions on this and could not find them any ideas would be appreciated, I am new to the site but if allowed, I will get some pics the next time I take the pj apart to help anybody else trying this...
My pt-ae700e has had a blue patch for 3 months (in exactly the same place but also grows/shrinks). Thinking it was bulb related (at 1570 hours) I just replaced the bulb. The blue remains and after an hour the picture went grainy/smokey...a few minutes later a giant patch of yellow is now in the middle right. With no input source this yellow patch is actually black on the blue background and looks like it has been etched.
Really can't believe the timing - I got everything set up in time fo Halo 3 release (tomorrow).

Don't feel bad, I'm currently experiencing the same problem with my 1yr 1/2 old AE700, i've got a big blue blob (and its growing) covering 2ft of my 9ft wide screen. My first thought was to replace the blue polarizer and buy the same kit that Bguy spoke of, but then I read about someone knocking their panel out of alignment and decided against it. I know they aren't the only company with this problem but i'm through with Panny and LCD as a technology.

This is the one and only reason I am glad I do not suffer from RBE and why I would never buy LCD.
