have a hd 70 projector want to connect ps3 upto it,my home surround does not have optical,can i put red and white into home surround,put hdmi from ps3 to projector or any other ideas for connection please help....

I'm pretty sure you can, but I'd have to look at the settings of my PS3 again. I'm sure you know that having HDMI for video and optical for audio should yield the best AV performance. Go to the settings area and try and output the video via HDMI, and be sure to select only 1080p as your compatible resolution, from what I've heard if you select anything else, the PS3 will default the video output to the lowest possible resolution. If you check the audio output section of the settings menu, I'm pretty sure that you can still select the PS3 AV connection to output audio via RCAs. Also not sure what the general consensus are, I personally find that turning on the cross color filter improved the PQ slightly as well. Try it and see what you think.

i am over in united kingdom ps3 not realeased till 23 march over here,just try to find out what cables i need havent seen one thanks for help ,is the ps3 some machine
