Greetings,
I would like to get an external drive for the above DVR. I would like at least 500Gig. I have looked at the listing of drives that work but they look like you have to get an internal, an enclosure etc. I would like to buy one that is ready to go with cable etc. I have seen a few sites that offer them but it seems like 450.00 and up is the norm pricewise. Is this in the ballpark? Any suggestions? If making my own is the way to go, any good suggestions for names of drive, enclosure etc. I would need? Some of the ones listed in the FAQ are old models.
Also, I see alot of warnings about not turning the drive off etc. How does a power outage affect these drives and DVR?
