I have a 36" Sony Wega SD that I bought in 2000. Last night during a DVD viewing, the screen started acting oddly. It's hard to describe, but basically it looks jittery and shaky. If I watch it long enough it will even go totally haywire and look like an old school scrambed cable channel.

I've tried a new power source, switching inputs, toying with all settings, to no avail.

Is it time for a new TV or is there something else I can do to troubleshoot? Note that it is very impractical to get it serviced in a store since the TV weighs 250lbs, I have no elevator, etc.
