So I just picked up a new 27" Samsung HDTV, but the geometry is all messed up. I've heard it's a common problem so I'm trying to correct it through the diagnostics menu, but I cannot for the life of me get it to open.

I haven't found the combo specifically for my model, but I'd imagine it would be the same for the whole model range.

Info - Menu - Mute - Power On

I've tried it at least 5 times and nothing and yes I did it when the television was turned off. Hell, I even did it when it was on with a bunch of different inputs.

With power off,

Mute 1 8 2 Power

MAKE SURE YOU WRITE DOWN INITIAL SETTINGS BEFORE CHANGING ANYTHING

Wow, thank you. This geometry problem has been annoying me for the longest time.

im not having the geometry problem and i dont have the hd version. my problem lies in the black levels. a repair guy set them high to try and bury a line that showed up as black on black. so now the picture is way to dark and the colors arent as sharp. any help?
