Can anyone make recommendations for a good CRT calibration person in Northern Virginia?
I own a SONY D50Q that needs some calibration after new input card was installed and a new screen installed (which is about 6 inches back form the previous screen).
Thanks

Hi Curtis-
I should be able to come by this week and do a basic optical focus, touch up geometry and convergence. I've got some good 1080i HDDVD calibration patterns... do you have a HDDVD player?
But PM Ken and/or Terry and see when they plan on being in the area. Ken's in Indy, Terry's in Atlanta.

Both of them did calibrations on my G90... I can highly recommend their results on Sony CRTs.

We charge a base rate for an install then come back out for free in 6 months for a touch up if needed.
Email me for details.

Someone emailed me this thread. I live in Maryland (not far). But It's been a long time since I've even seen a D50. And even then, I've only played with a very few of them. So that would not qualify me as being one of the best for this.
I would suggest that you take Clarence (in quote) up on his offer to come out and get you going. Then from there you get either Terry or Ken to do the pro stuff. But Clarence can get you going. Plus, he owns a Sony G90, so he knows his way around the Sony controls quite well.

Clarence definitely is a great guy and an expert on all SONY CRTs. He's been to my house a couple of times before, and had tweaked my CRT when I had gotten by IFB-12 card installed.
I didn't want to impose on him again, so wanted to look at other options.
Thanks,
