Anyone w/ Hong Kong version downloaded this as well? I hear it's not up for download / purchase in the Japan PS Store.

Since US release is also nearing, I wonder if there are any updates to the game since Hong Kong release.... Based on some screen shots that I saw, I thought I noticed slight improvement on the textures... It would be great if someone can confirm.

BTW: When is the fabled US release?

Agreed. I've said it before and I'll say it again...

When there are at most TWO games worth owning Sony should real try harder at getting ANY content out there.

It isn't Namco's fault. The game has been ready for a week now... Sony decides when to release it and they have a strict Thursday schedule for PSN releases.

But regardless of whose fault it is, if you knew they had a strict Thurs release schedule why did you expect it to be otherwise? And it's only 4 days, it's not like it's being delayed for weeks or months.

Actually it's been more than four days since it's been available outside the US for quite some time.

And of course it's only four more days if you assume they aren't lying again.

And sue me if I actually want a decent game to play on the console I paid $600 for that according to quotes from Sony executives is supposed to be the be all end all.

I think it was delayed due to fears that it might bite into VF5 sales.


I know that people who have played VF in the past see a vast difference in the two, but some people (me) wanted to see if this (T-DR) would satisfy my new game craving (and save me 45 bucks).

Not sure what you mean. I bought Tekken DR straight from the Japanese store earlier this month (2000 yen). Are you saying they removed it from the JP store? It's still in my downloads list, so they haven't taken it off their servers that much I can confirm for you. (I haven't bothered to make a second JP PSN to check and see if it's still available for buy. It won't show up if you already buy it on your PSN in the store.)

I'm hesitant to believe the US version is going to look any better textures wise because it still seems to have the slowdown issue according to GamePro's analysis of the final US build.

My mistake. That's what I get for believing 1up.com. They made it sound as if the Japanese version just became available. I thought I heard rumors that US version of Tekken will be slightly more polished... I sure hope it's the case.
