Hi,
I have a Sony DVP-NS41P DVD player that we've owned for almost two years now. Lately, on some discs it will skip and hang repeatedly. Once this process begins, it seem to get progressively worse on that disc. I've cleaned the disc, ejected it, turned off the player, unplugged the player, everything I could think of. Finally, in desperation, I kit it on the side (very scientific, I know) and it started working OK again.
This doesn't happen on every disc and I see no rhyme or reason for the skip/hang issue. Do you think that the player is toast and needs to be replaced or could there be another cause? Do you have any suggestions on how to fix it? I just wanted to get some opinions before I trash a machine that may or may not be bad.
Thanks so much in advance!
