Just wondering what is considered as a small, medium, large, and king sized room to you all. Mine is about 3200 sq feet with another 1000 sq feet to another room. Or would it be cubic feet?

That sounds like cubic ft. HxWxL. 3200 square ft. is larger than an average single family home.

4200 cubic ft. is considered the beginning of the large room category. An entry level sub probably won't cut it in that size room.

Depending on how loud you listen, you may need multiples of one very good sub to handle a room that size.

I would keep saving for 2-3 more months, and wait for the initial reviews of the Onix MFW-15 from AV123. They will be offering it @ $999/pair, and from what Mark Seaton(the designer) has been saying on their forum, it is a steal at that price.

If it is even 90% of what he has been saying, it will be great performer at that price.

Then, whenever funds permit, I would by 2 more. :p

Or you can get 2 of the Outlaw Audio LFM-1 Plus for $1199 shipped. That is the best deal going IMO.

Nothing under $1000 is going to adequately fill that room. so I would just keep saving my money.

9000+ CUBIC FEET!!!! DEAR GOD THATS HUGE!!!!

I would think that AT LEAST 4 POWERFUL subs would be needed for space that big.

Maybe two pairs of what Rockem said-----Onix MFW-15 from AV123, You would be about $2000 for 4 subs.

Then down the road add more to taste :D

OR, you could build some partitian walls to make your room smaller and just use the sub you've already got.
