I can get an excellent deal on one of these, at less than half of the original price (700).
I've been told it's a rather musical sub, and I like it aesthetically. I won't be using this for HT duty, so how would it compare to the 300-350$ (including shipping) offering from Hsu or SVS, or even AV123?
I don't care about output beyond 25 hz or so. I just want a nice, clean, full musical response above that.

The only sub that could compare to it would be the HSU STF-2 @ $319 + shipping, which is a stellar performer at that price. It orginally was $399.

For $350, the asw650 may be hard to beat. It's hard to say, because B&W subs aren't known for their depth, but I haven't heard that specific model.

I don't know about the musical stuff though. A sub can either reproduce the signal accurately, or it cannot IMHO.
