Should I be concerned that my HR20-700 is running hot? I mean really hot, all the time, even in standby mode. It's the hottest piece of equipment I've ever owned and it's always on. It's in an enclosed cabinet with an open back and a glass door. I'm leaving the door open now but that's inconvenient. It seems to work ok, but is it a problem?

Go into help and settings then do a test and tell us what the temp is. Mine is at about 120.

Both of mine run at 127 that is normal. I put a targus chill mat on 1 of them and it dropped to 107. Problem is that the chill mat has an on and off switch that is really cheaply made and flaky. I am looking for something better. Anyone know of a better made product?

Mine runs at 124 with the cabinet door open and 134 with the door closed. I guess this is close to normal operating range so I won't worry about it.

Personally, I've been happy with http://www.tnp-instruments.com/id102.html for measuring temperatures inside my STB.
