View Full Version : Getting PS3 to recognize 16:9 PS2 games?

Hey everyone, quick question that maybe one of you has solved already....

I loaded up the PS2 version of Madden 07 last night so I could get my EA login setup (in case I want to play Madden or NCAA).

There is a problem with the way the games look though. Immediately upon loading I recognized that the game was stretched. In Madden, when I goto settings>video (or something like that) for the TV setting it only allows me to select 4:3 normal or letterbox. There isn't even an option for 16:9 as there was when I played it on the PS2.

I am connecting the PS3 to my TV via HDMI. It works fine with no stretching for all PS3 games.

Have any of you found a way to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

No idea about Madden, but GT4 set to 1080i mode displayed perfectly on my 16:9 TV, via HDMI cabling, of course.
