I have an HP PL4260N hooked directly in the moto 3416 cable box with an HDMI connection (no DVI) and I have no sound for the HD channels.
At first there was no sound at all, however I went into the cable box and switch the output from DVI to HDMI and then switched the default SD channels from off to 480p. This got me sound for the sd channels only, yet still nothing from for the HD ones.
I have purchased a red and white audio cable and was just going to bypass it all. So i plugged these into the cable box and L/R slots in component 1. This does did not work.
Is there a particular setting in the cable box I need to have in order to get the full sound to work? Can i simply bypass all of this and get anologue audio, how do I do this?
