Has anyone ordered or bought anything from this company? They are online and sell complete units and cabinets. I have an old P2 w/ an ATI graphics card and 19" monitor so I just basically need a cabinet and am not very good at making electronics so I don't think I could handle making and wiring my own joysticks so I was just looking for something a little simpler. Any input or thought any one can provide are appreciated.

I got my controller from slikstik. They also sell full cabinets. Very pleased with the build quality of the controller and most software already recognizes the button mappings for it. (mame, etc)
No experience with Dream Arcades though. Sorry.

I second the vote for SlikStik. Great product !
I ordered the upright kit from Dream Arcades. Put it together in a few hours-- it was very easy, like assembling a piece of Ikea furniture.

I'm happy with the Dream Arcades H2H cocktail cabinet. It's a good solid item that was easy enough to set up.

Robbo and Jim,
What type of PC setup are you using? Processor, graphics card, monitor etc. Thanks.
I'm using a PII 850 with a modest AGP video card that supports vertical display (since it's in a cocktail cabinet) The monitor is a Sony CPD-G420S (19") Speakers are inexpensive Altecs.
The OS is Windows 2K Pro. I went the simple route and use Mame32 as my front end. I downloaded thousands of ROMs, but don't want to scroll or browse them all, so I picked about 100 popular games that seem to run OK for my active directory.
The only assembly hitch was that I had to loosen the interface boards when I bolted the optional trackballs on-otherwise the bolt heads would've cracked the boards. After I got it assembled and got the guts in it, I added decals and lights to make it my own.

hi, im wondering how you like the addon trackball. does it get in the way since its not on the panel? i am going to be buying the three way cocktail and was wondering about that.
Also are those lights just the ones that can be used inside a computewr case?
The trackballs are a little awkward. I managed to find stools that were the right height to work better with them. They also function as mice and come in handy for Centipede or golf games.
Yes, the lights are regular computer case lights.
