Hi,
I'm sorry to ask such a stupid question, but I'm searching for over an hour right now... How is it possible to turn on the white warm up screen on a Sony 1251? I have finished my home cinema right now and I am very very pleased with the results, but it takes ~15-20 minutes warm up time with a black screen to get perfect convergence. So I want to set the build in white warm up screen to 5 minutes.
Thanks
Leznik

1) Press and hold the power-on key for more than 5 seconds until "Initialize Time Setting" appears.
2) Press the left or right arrow keys to adjust time desired of white screen display.
3) Press the up arrow to save the setting.
To turn it back off just set the time to "0 minutes".
If I were you I'd just start playing a movie to warm up the projector, not use the harsh white screen.
Hi,
thanks, that's it. So simple :-)
If I were you I'd just start playing a movie to warm up the projector, not use the harsh white screen. May be I changed my mind, but the first 10-15 Minutes it looks terrible.

Why not display a TV station for the first 10-15 minutes and then put the movie on?
Sort of like a home version of the cinema previews, just not previews.
""May be I changed my mind, but the first 10-15 Minutes it looks terrible.""
How bad is terrible. My 1252 is quite good from the start, with a very small
change after 5min and it's small at that.
How bad is terrible. Not too bad I think, but I spend a long time to adjust everything  . At startup the colors at the center are about 2 cm off.
"are about 2 cm off"
That's a lot, mine is less than one line at the outer edge.
Did you save your alignment with a "5 second" hold of the mem button?
