Has anyone tried using the gameshark for PS2 games on the PS3?
After I hit start on the cheat screen the gameshark disc ejects so you can put in the game disc so it can load with the cheats. the problem is when i put the game disc in nothing happens. it doesn't load. every game i tried does the same thing. what gives?

Maybe Sony did something right and is not allowing the Gameshark to work on the PS3. PS2 online games, what there were of them, were marred with people cheating with these things. I say it's a good thing.
A $600 system should allow these to work with them. I cheat only after I go through the game the first time through. after that it should all be for fun, no harm in that. But I could easily see people using these for online play which is wrong.
codebreaker doesn't work either.

What does the price of the system have to do with unauthorized code running on said system?
since the profits of a sale for a game go to both sony and the manufacturer of the game it would benefit both if the gameshark would work on the system. I know quite of few people that only buy a game if there are cheats for it on the gameshark. Sad i know, but true. so alot of sales of games are made by people who own a gameshark. so yes, it benefits all parties.
