I have recently build in my component rack and shifted some things around in my shared Family Room/Theater and now have an empty wall that I would like to make into some kind of concession area. I would like to get your guys terrific ideas and opinions on what I should do.
First a qucik description of the area.
Here is the floor plan with the wall area highlighted (ignore furniture placement on the floor plan)

Here is a picture of the back wall as it is today:

Basically, the wall is 11 feet long. The components are mounted in a hole in the last 24 or so inches of the wall. My rear speakers also sit in front of that wall.
Originally, my plan was to put the popcorn popper back there just inside of the rear left speaker on its stand. I would put a small table next to that and then a Maytag Skybox vendor next to that. So, looking at the wall as it is in the picture from left to right, you would see the right rear speaker, a skybox vendor, a small table, the popcorn popper, the left rear speaker and then the component rack. The main issue with this is that you cannot get the Skybox anymore...and I cannot find a used one to ship here to save my life.
Plan B was to just put about 8 feet of cabinets back there in between the speakers. I would put the popper on the cabinet (without the stand) and have an undercounter refrigerator installed. My only concern with this is how it would look just having cabinets sticking out of the back wall when with the speakers on either end and the component rack built back into the wall as it is today. I thought the cabinets might end up just kind of sticking out into the room instead of looking like they belonged there.
Plan C is to cover the entire back wall with cabinets, including where the component rack is and having the component rack mounted in a backless floor to ceiling cabinet with rear access through the bathroom closet as it is today. Main concern here is cost. Likely north of five grand. Lots of other things in the theater I could do with that kind of money.
Now my quandry is what to do. I can't do plan A, Plan B worries me as far as how it will look and plan C, while still being considered, is costly.
Do you guys have any good ideas? Any kind of refrigeration or vendor solution I could stick back there with the popper that would look good, be reasonably priced and quiet? Any of your guys had the same type of space to work with and came up with a good solution? BTW, the space behind the last of the seats and that back wall is about 9 feet.
Thanks in advance. Let me know if you need more pics or description.
