Hi folks
I wanted to see if anyone could help me. I live in Greenville, SC and last week I got a new Motorola DCT6416 III DVR from Charter with the TV Guide based user interface. I had it set to record American Idol tonight (it has previously recorded shows with no problems) and I know it recorded because the device had the red light on at the appointed time and it showed new hard drive space being used. However, American Idol doesn't show up when I go to the My Recording tab on the DVR menu; I deleted all the shows that it did show on the hard drive but despite the fact that the hard drive space showed it was 4 percent full it said that there were no listings available. I called Charter support and they told me that they had not heard of that problem before and there was nothing they could do short of coming over to replace the DVR.

So I though I would put a message on the board to find out if Charter customers with this same DVR and user interface have had this problem before and if there is any way I can do anything here at home to get the box to show the American Idol show that I know is on the drive but that the user interface refuses to show me. Any help at all will be much appreciated.

I delete some shows and it showed % fulll for about two hours then went to 0%. try doing manual reboot on system (unplug it) see if that works for you.
