I have a JVC RX-D401S (http://books.jvcservice.com/download/628273286/37584.pdf) AVR, and I was wondering if I could enable the Linear PCM 192kHz audio output on my PS3?
Everything is HDMI.
Thank you very much in advance, I really appreciate any info you may have. :)

If you mean 192 khz then you can probably enable it for 2 channel LPCM but not many receivers can do 192 khz multichannel (5.1 or 7.1) and I do not think there is even any 192 khz multichannel media out there right now (BluRay or Games) . Now there might be some audio discs (SACD) with it but I am not aware of anything at the moment .

--- JasonThe SACDs themselves don't have a sampling rate per se because they are DSD not PCM. I believe there are a handful of 192khz stereo DVD-As however, but of course the PS3 doesn't play those.

The SACDs themselves don't have a sampling rate per se because they are DSD not PCM. I believe there are a handful of 192khz stereo DVD-As however, but of course the PS3 doesn't play those. I believe that SACD can utilize the 176kHz sampling rate; users of the PS3 and the Sony STR-DG1000 has tested this as the receiver can handle the 176kHz sampling rate. Movies are usually mastered at 24-bit 48kHz. If you have multichannel SACD, you can test this out if your receiver is compatible.
However, if your receiver does not handle sampling rates as the ones indicated on the Sound Setting in the XMB, don't enable it. You'll get a distortion from the speakers, which is not nice. To know which sampling rate your receiver can support, use Automatic detect via HDMI, then read the results on the screen.

2 CH Stereo SACD from the PS3 is 176.4K on my Onkyo 804 Multi Ch SACD comes in at 88.2K
