I took a glance at the latest Router charts (originally maintained by Tom's Hardware) and saw a new kid on the block:

 Anyone have any experience with this router?
Why would you want one? You have a gig connection to the internet?

For LAN parties of course. All of the wired PCs run at top speed and the wireless laptops and such can still connect pretty darn fast.

LAN parties dont really benefit from gig nets I believe since the packets are small.

I don't have the wireless N one, I have the old with G wireless and Gigabit ethernet and what I used it for was to transfer large tiffs and raw files as well as PDFs for doing ad work from my house.
Its a ROUTER not a SWITCH!
Routers connect two different networks, like your home and the internet, etc. In a lan party you are all in the same network and dont need a router between the clients.
