Hi,
Just looking for some assistance with a drop out problem I have over DVI connection.
I am running a Marantz DV8400 dvd player into a Hitachi PJTX100 projector via both DVI and component. The DVI cable is around 8 metres long with no joins or connectors. The cable is not a cheapie but it's not the most expensive around either. It's going strainght from the DVD player to the PJ. The component is the same lenght and also runs direct.
I have noticed that when watching DVD's via the DVI cable the picture drops out every 30 minutes or so. The PJ goes black and then when the picture comes back the PJ tells me that's receiving the DVI signal. I am assuming at this stage that the PJ is working correctly. There's no drop out over component.
I have used other DVD players via DVI with this PJ and have not had any drop outs. I have also tried another cable with did not solve the problem.
Can anybody give any advice as to what the problem may be?
Is ther any one with Marantz DVD players who have had this problem as well.
Regards.
