I own the following Stratus radio:

Model#: SV3-H1-Q406-SUB2.

This is the car radio and I got the Universal Home Kit.

The only complaint I have about the radio is with regard to the presets.

Once I have stored my preset channels it is very very easy to just hold the button for a preset channel slightly too long and channel button is than reset to whatever channel radio was on at the time.

You can not lock in a channel preset like I am use to do on the majority of other devices I have owned with presets.

Is there a work around for this? Maybe use a Macro with short duration press programmed in?

I am asking because the better half wants me to rip that radio out of the living room and give it the toss because of this preset issue.

The issue really manifests itself when attempting to use a remote thru a wireless extender.

-Thanks,

Am I the only person that likes lockable presets?

I don't have a solution, but I have the same radio and it sucks. Love Sirius but the radios are weak.

heynow00,

I am glad that there is at least one other person on this board that feels this way.

I was told of another glorious feature of these radios and that is they do not like cold weather. At least the one I got someone as a gift doesn't. The car has to warm up before radio will work.

Maybe the tubes inside have to warm up first. :)

Nah, that is not true, if this tuner had been built in the Tube generation it would definately have comewith locable presets. :D
