I wanted to go with a good wireless mouse that offered me alot of buttons.
I decided on the MX10000.....laser mouse..OooOOooh. I learned a few things:
1) The weight doesn't bother me, the way the Newegg reviews were crying you'd think they were all Olympic-caliber game players. It also fits my hand well.
2) The pads on this mouse ran out almost overnight on my desktop, I think they are made of paper mache'. I bought a Ratpads small surface (cheap) and have ordered some slikstuff (I think thats the website) replacement foot pads made out of, I dunno, some crazy polymer or whatever :)
3) This game is not button-friendly when it comes to games. I had hoped that I could map some of thebuttons on this mouse to buttons in a game.
But the only way I can do it is by first telling the Logitech driver that each button mimics a "keypress". ie: Assign the "scroll back" button to = "A". Then when I go ni game I can use that mouse button to register "A".
And this is with the logitech "Gaming mode" turnedon......so tell me, am I doing something wrong?
My last logitech mouse had 4 perfectly functional buttons going for it....this one has like 8 available ones but I can't seem to assign them in games.
(I know some games use a native mouse driver and wont read the extra buttons unless they ARE mapped to keys). I just wanted to confirm that this was the "way to get the job done".
