Is there a way to correct? My windows live id is messed up. When I made my new gamertag and signed up through my 360. For the email address I put @hotmal.com instead of @hotmail.com How do I change it to that?

i will look when i get home but i would think if you snoop around in the console settings and what not there should be a option to change it that or maybe if you sign in to xbox.com you could do it there just a thought not really sure

I am pretty sure if you hit the xbox guide button and take a look in your profile settings you should find it. I would give you exact directions but my 360 got the 3 red rings last week and is currently in Texas being repaired.

If you figure out how to change the associated liveID let us know. I've been wanting to switch mine for awhile but haven't been able to figure out a way to do it. I can change the address it'll email updates/confirmations to, but I can't get it to change the underlying passport account that it's attached to.

So how do you use the MS points to change the account? I've got an e-mail address tied to my Gamer Tag that does not exist anymore. I'd like to get my new e-mail address associated with it.

you can use ms points to change your gamertag, keep all the info, just make your gamertag different, i dont know if you can use ms points to change the associated email address.

You don't need any MS points to change your associated email address, I did exactly that just the other day though the webpage I linked above.

OK, I just did what kylebisme linked to and it works. Login with the e-mail address that is associated with the Gamer Tag/Live ID account. Click "Credentials". then click "Change your e-mail address". It will send you a confirmation message.

Or you could register the domain name hotmal.com and start your own mail server on it, get your email that way, and then just go with that.

Then anytime someone else messes up and types in hotmal.com you own their email domain and can lease it to them for $1 million dollars. bwahahahaa
