Since Immersive has been gone for a while now, there hasn't been much out there in the way of support.

I just discovered one feature I have been trying to find for a long time - changing the x,y position of the picture. I have never seen this feature described anywhere, and it is very useful because I have scan line or two on one or two sides on feed my my cable box (DVD is always perfect).

You have to adjust this manually from the four buttons next to the menu button on the front. While the picture is showing, each of those buttons moves the picture the indicated direction on line at a time. You cannot do this through the menu commands, you need to directly hit those buttons during play.

By the way, does anyone have a unit that successfully scales 1080i? I think Simmetry did have problems in general scaling 1080i, and my unit is no exception. First, I get a wide scan line on the right edge, which I can now adjust for via the method mentioned above. Even when adjusted for position, I still get some artifacts (particularly noticeable with text) that may be marcoblocking form the Faroudja deinterlacing chip.

Also, does the aspect ratio control do anything?

No.....the 1080i simmetry issues were not resolved before the company went belly up.
