I currently have a 512MB flash-type mp3 player that was a freebie. I like having basically an external drive that I can drag & drop files to, but it's too small.

Any recommendations for an mp3 player with the same functionality, but with ~8GB? Are there any larger (30GB) hard drive type players that work just as easily?

I will rarely, if ever, use it for anything but music. My old POS computer is running Windows 2000 Pro and I have seen XP as a requirement for many new players. Is this really an issue?

Thanks in advance.

Take a look at the Cowon players. http://www.cowonamerica.com/products/

I own 2 Cowon players. Love them.

I really really like Sony NW-E0003F. The sound quality is amazing, it sounds like it's coming
straight out of your computer. 1GB for $69.99 and 2GB for $99.99. Check it out, you won't
be disappointed.
